
RANCHO BERNARDO, CA – Thousands of customers are without power Tuesday morning as a storm slams San Diego County. San Diego Gas & Electric reported on its outage map that more than 5,000 customers have no power across the county, from Carlsbad to Chula Vista.
Locally, a total of 1,337 customers have no power in and around Rancho Bernardo. The outage, which started at 6:24 a.m., is affecting the communities of Escondido, Rancho Penasquitos, Rancho Bernardo, San Pasqual and Lake Hodges.
SDG&E estimates the power will be restored by about 9 a.m.

SDG&E is assessing the outage to determine the cause. No other information is currently available.
