It's a Jewelry-Shopping, Music-Listening, Dog-Adopting Kind of Weekend

Your Patch guide to weekend happiness.

After last weekend’s busy schedule of superheroes, science fiction and sandcastles, this final weekend in July is a bit more lax. That’s not to say there isn’t stuff to do—we’ve got plenty of events in town and beyond that will satisfy the down-to-earth and the go-getters.

From July 29-31, Rancho Bernardo and nearby cities have some local community events for jewelry and music lovers. Catch a fish, shop handmade jewelry or simply enjoy music from local talent. If you’re ready to get out of the city, head over to Ramona for a mystery dinner or downtown for some all-day doggie fun.

The Del Mar Fairgrounds boasts a Marley this weekend, so you can get your reggae on after the races. And La Jolla has a film festival that’s for the fashionable only. Enjoy these last days of July.
