Man Stabbed, Beaten in Rancho Peñasquitos Street Robbery

A 20-year-old man was walking down the street when the alleged crime occurred.

San Diego police searched today for two young men who beat and stabbed a man in Rancho Peñasquitos who refused to hand over his belongings, authorities said.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, was walking northbound in the 10900 block of Carmel Mountain Road when the assailants approached around 9 p.m. Tuesday, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said in a statement.

The pair—described as being 20-22 years old—demanded the victim's belongings and when he refused, they beat him and stabbed him three times, Delimitros said.

The victim was stabbed once in the chest and twice in one of his arms, according to Delimitros, who said the wounds were not life-threatening.
