Man Tied Up While House Ransacked; 2-Year-Old Present
A 30-year-old Rancho Peñasquitos man was tied up after two men broke into his home Wednesday afternoon.

A 30-year-old Rancho Peñasquitos man at home with his 2-year-old was tied up in his home Wednesday afternoon as two men ransacked the house, police said.
Neither the man nor the child were harmed and no one else was home at the time, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.
Around 2:49 p.m. Wednesday, two men broke the rear glass door to the home on the 13000 block of Russet Leaf Lane and tied up the man as they took property but left the child alone, Delimitros said.

"We don't know what was taken. The loss was undetermined," Delimitros said, adding he did not know how the suspects tied up the man.
The man described one of the suspects as a 5-foot-8-inch black male in his 20s or 30s with short hair, wearing a short-sleeved shirt and dark pants, the officer said. The PQ man did not see the second suspect but heard him speaking Spanish, Delimitros said.

10News reported that the robbers threw clothes over the man's head, but Delimitros said he could not confirm this and did not know why the man was unable to see the second suspect.
The man was able to free himself eventually and call police, Delimitros said.
