Mayoral Candidate Forum to Feature Filner, Fletcher

Residents will soon have the chance to speak their minds directly to two of the four major mayoral candidates during a forum hosted by two local community groups.

Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher, , and Rep. Bob Filner (D), will be in the spotlight at the April 12 forum hosted by the Rancho Bernardo Community Council and the Rancho Peñasquitos Town Council.

The two other primary candidates—Councilman Carl DeMaio and District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis—have declined to participate.

The forum will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, April 12 at the , 18402 West Bernado Dr. at the Rancho Bernardo Community Park. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and free coffee and dessert will be provided.
