[Updated] Missing Man Found Dead

The body of a missing 46-year-old man was found just off the path of the Bernardo Bay Trails near Lake Hodges early Friday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.

Authorities have not released the man's name pending notification of next of kin, but investigators believe the man is an individual who had been staying with family but left without his medications. Family members then filed a missing persons report.

The time of death was listed as 8:42 a.m., according to the Medical Examiner's Office. Police said there didn't appear to be any signs of foul play and it seems the man died of natural causes. Earlier, police had said the body had been found in Rancho Peñasquitos.
