The freeway incident was part of a holiday period that included 37 DUI arrests in San Diego County.

The California Highway Patrol arrested 37 people on suspicion of driving while intoxicated on San Diego-area streets on the Fourth of July holiday and the preceding evening, the state agency reported Thursday.

No local traffic fatalities occurred during the 30-hour span beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to the CHP.

Among those taken into custody was a 23-year-old pedestrian who ran onto southbound Interstate 805 near 43rd Street in National City shortly before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and took off all her clothes while crossing over to the northbound side of the freeway, according to police.
