North County's Top Athletes Sign Letters of Intent
Ramona continues a trend of sending football players to a service academy as Bryson Garcia commits to Navy.

The telecast of the Army-Navy game over the next few years may earn some huge ratings in Ramona.
After two players from the 2009 Bulldogs football team–running back Ryan Morgan and offensive lineman Justin Godes–headed to West Point last fall to play for Army, Ramona High now has a representative at the Naval Academy.
Receiver Bryson Garcia signed Wednesday to play his college football at Annapolis on the first day seniors could commit under NCAA rules, though most already had made known their choices, like Rancho Bernardo track and cross country standout Molly Grabill, who will attend Oregon.

Another Ramona football player, running back Tyler Jackson, will enroll at Western New Mexico.
"Honestly, having Justin and Ryan go to one of the academies was great for our school," Ramona football coach and athletic director Damon Baldwin told the North County Times.

"The academies are very competitive. I think once Army got a player from Ramona, the other academies looked at the Army roster and figured they better check out this place called Ramona."
