San Diego Police Department officers and detectives investigated numerous cases of indecent exposure involving the suspect since January, 2010. The incidents generally occurred in the morning hours and involved high school age girls walking to school.  The male would typically walk very near the victims and expose himself or he would expose himself and call to the victims to attract their attention to his actions.

The suspect was described as a white male in his mid 50’s, 5’9” to 6’ tall with a thin build.  He had white or graying hair and was seen leaving the area in a blue 4-door car with an orange blanket on the backseat.

On March 26, 2012, shortly before 7:00 a.m., in an effort to capture or identify the suspect, plain clothes investigators were in the area of Mira Mesa High School walking with previous victims.  A detective saw a male matching the suspect description drive into the area.  The previous victims saw the male and recognized him as the suspect who had exposed himself to them.  The male was arrested without incident.

The suspect’s identity is not being released at this time.  On January 31, 2012, a composite sketch of the suspect was made available to the public.  As this investigation continues, it is expected that other cases may be reported to the San Diego Police Department, as well as other neighboring agencies.

Anyone with information concerning these cases is asked to contact Detective Malacha Fuller at (858) 538-8000 or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477
