Police Seek Leads, ‘Vehicle of Interest’ in RB Road Window Smashings
Police have not yet identified any suspects.

Police are looking for a "vehicle of interest" in connection with a series of automobile window smashings along Rancho Bernardo Road earlier this week.
"There was a vehicle seen leaving the area, but we can't call it a suspect vehicle because ... we don't have a witness that actually saw anybody in that car throw the rock," San Diego Police Officer Susan Steffen said.
The vehicle is described as an older model red or orange Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Steffen said police know of eight vehicles that had their rear windows broken with river rocks starting just after midnight on Tuesday morning along Rancho Bernardo Road east of Bernardo Center Drive. Steffen said anyone else who has had their window smashed should also contact police.
The vandalism comes on the heels of several other incidents throughout Rancho Bernardo, including graffiti on cars and signs in and around Seven Oaks.

RB Neighborhood Watch Director Valerie Brown, in an email, said the group is planning a community forum to address recent criminal activity and help residents better protect themselves. She also encouraged residents to report incidents to the police.
"Providing as much information as possible helps the police determine patterns within criminal activity," Brown said.
