Two men and a woman charged in connection with the killing of a 20-year-old man whose badly burned body was found in the trunk of a torched sedan near Jamul were scheduled to be at the Vista courthouse today for a preliminary hearing.

Devin Frances Gaillard and Miles B. Sharp, both 22, are each charged with murder in the Sept. 20, 2012, death of one-time 4S Ranch resident Dillon Davis. The third defendant, Quincy Sharp, is charged with being an accessory to the crime. Her relationship to Mile Sharp has not been made public.

Firefighters found Davis' remains after extinguishing a predawn car fire in the 16200 block of Skyline Truck Trail. Authorities described the defendants and the victim as acquaintances but have withheld Davis' cause of death and the suspected motive.
