RB Baseball Takes League; Girls, Boys Lacrosse Win
Doubleheader split with Poway gives the Broncos the Palomar League title; RB and Poway girls and boys lacrosse teams all advance.

A victory in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader with Poway gave the Rancho Bernardo High baseball team the Palomar League championship.
The Broncos won 11-3 before dropping the second game 12-8. At 13-1 in the league, RB maintained its two-game lead over the Titans (11-3) with each team having one game left in the regular season.
Becker Sankey homered in each game of the twin bill for Rancho Bernardo, as did Connor Joe for Poway.

RB, Poway move on in lacrosse playoffs
Both schools also sent their girls and boys lacrosse teams to the CIF San Diego Section Division I semifinals with victories on Saturday.

Rancho Bernardo's girls team did the boys one better with a 17-3 win over Otay Ranch, while the boys beat the same school by a 16-3 count. Poway's girls team, behind five goals by Mackenzie Murray, edged Scripps Ranch 12-10 while the Titan boys blanked Granite Hills 14-0 as Matt Landon and Connor Sanit scored four goals each.
Broncos repeat as boys tennis champions
Rancho Bernardo repeated as boys Division I tennis champions and finished the season 22-1 with a 16-2 win over Torrey Pines on Friday at the Barnes Tennis Center on Point Loma. The Broncos beat the Falcons in last year's championship after four straight losses to Torrey in the title matches.
The Broncos swept the singles matches, with No. 1 singles player Tyler Pham dropping only two games in beating his opponents 6-1, 6-1, 6-0. The No. 1 senior doubles team of Gio Valdez and Cameron Bernhardt also swept three points.
RB boys volleyball team edged by Torrey Pines in playoffs
Fourth-seeded Torrey Pines High came back to beat visiting Rancho Bernardo in five games Friday in the quarterfinals of the CIF San Diego Section Division I boys volleyball playoffs.
RB's season ends at 15-12 after the Falcons rallied for a 25-21, 23-25, 21-25, 25-15, 15-12 victory. Torrey Pines (19-11) will meet top-seeded Carlsbad in Tuesday's semifinals.
