  1. Want to vote in the Rancho Bernardo Planning Board’s election? Act quickly! Ballots need to be postmarked by Monday, March 7. District A, covering Westwood and Casa de las Campana, has four candidates running this year: Patrick Batten, Sonya “Sonny” Googins, Robin Kaufman, and David Wilson. Adult residents can vote only in their district. Request a ballot by emailing Gary Long at gklong@pacbell.net, Benjamin Wier at benjaminwier@icloud.com, or Owen Nucci at ojnucci@gmail.com.   3. Law enforcement is on high alert. A Rancho Bernardo home was robbed over the weekend, along with homes in Rancho Santa Fe and Poway. Between $25,000 to $60,000 worth of cash, jewelry, purses, and other valuables were stolen from each home. According to the FBI, perpetrators were likely the ‘South American Theft Group,’ which has been burglarizing homes in the area over the past year.
