San Diego Gas Prices Top $4 Again; RB's Lowest is $3.85

Average gas prices haven't been above $4 since May 30.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County topped the $4 mark for the first time since May 30 Monday, rising three-tenths of a cent to $4.003.

The average price has risen eight times in nine days and is 4.3 cents more than one week ago and 4.4 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

However, it is 6.4 cents less than one month ago, thanks mainly to a 17-day streak of falling prices immediately before the increases began.

The average price has increased 4.6 cents over the past nine days, including six-tenths of a cent on Sunday. It fell 9.4 cents during the 17-day streak of declines.

The cheapest gallon of gas in Rancho Bernardo, according to GasBuddy.com, can be found at the ARCO on the corner of Rancho Bernardo Road and Bernardo Center Drive for $3.85 per gallon.
