Student Arrested After Shooting Threat At Westview High School

The suspect was questioned, arrested and booked into juvenile hall.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A Westview High School student was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of threatening to carry out a shooting at the Torrey Highlands-area campus this week.

The teen, whose name, age and gender were not released, allegedly told fellow students to stay home from school Wednesday so they could avoid the purportedly planned gun rampage, according to San Diego police.

Several of the youths who heard the comments reported them to school officials, who called the police, San Diego Police Department Lt. Paul Phillips said.
