Suspect Sought in Apparent Wells Fargo Bank Robbery

Updated 11:03 a.m. Friday with additional details about the alleged crime and an updated description of the suspect.

A unshaven man who acted like he had a weapon robbed a Rancho Bernardo bank inside the Vons grocery store Thursday afternoon, police said.

The man robbed the Wells Fargo bank inside the store located at 11986 Bernardo Plaza Drive at 4:15 p.m. He left with an undisclosed amount.

The suspect is described to be a white male in his late 20s, 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, wearing a blue baseball cap, a black hoodie and unknown colored pants.

Police are investigating.
