Wednesday Night's Closure of SR-78 Canceled: Caltrans
The westbound highway was scheduled to be closed overnight for paving at Interstate 15 in Escondido.
UPDATE 5:03 p.m. Pacific Time: A full closure Wednesday night of state Route 78 in Escondido has been canceled, Caltrans posted on its Twitter page.

Caltrans said Thursday night's closure was still scheduled to occur.

ESCONDIDO, CA: A stretch of westbound state Route 78 will be closed overnight Wednesday and Thursday nights so Caltrans crews can work on pavement in the area.
The westbound highway will be closed at Interstate 15 from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday and again from 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, according to Caltrans.
Motorists will be diverted onto northbound Interstate 15, then will use the El Norte Parkway exit to access southbound Interstate 15 to state Route 78.
