Valentina is pet of the week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society. She’s a 14-year-old, 9-pound, female, Domestic Short Hair cart with a Brown and White Tabby coat.
Valentina was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society in 2010 through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS). She spent 11 years in her home. Now her family moved to Hawaii. They would rather have her find a new home here than to wait there in quarantine.
She will need time to warm up and have a safe space. She will benefit from daily play sessions. She can live with kids as young as 12.

Special note:
September is Happy Healthy Cat Month.
This is the purr-fect time to schedule a veterinary exam, including a dental exam. Make sure your cat is getting proper nutrition and that you’re not over-feeding or under-feeding. Dedicate more time to play with your cat.
Invest in some new cat toys. If you don’t already have a cat, but the time is right to invite a pet into your home and heart, visit a shelter or rescue. Your purr-fect friend is waiting for you.
