Volunteers Needed for Mt. Carmel Tournament of Bands Oct. 26
Variety of roles available to support high school music program fundraiser

Volunteers are needed to support the 47th annual Mt. Carmel Tournament of Bands, one of Southern California’s largest and oldest high school marching band competitions. The event will include both parade and field show competitions and is planned for Saturday, Oct. 26 at Mt. Carmel High School in Rancho Penasquitos.
A variety of event staffing roles for adults and students are available, including stadium ushers, concessions support, parking and traffic control, ticketing, parade and field show operations support and more. Students can fulfill their volunteer hours for graduation requirements in one weekend.
No previous experience with special events is required and training will be provided. Morning, afternoon and evening shifts are available. More information about volunteer opportunities is available by contacting Cami Thoeming at (317) 966-3738, or camijwt@gmail.com.

The tournament is the single-largest fundraiser for the entire Mt. Carmel High School music program and provides the necessary funds to produce the event, as well as for much-needed music instructors, equipment, music, instruments, repairs, uniforms, and transportation needs not provided by the school district.
