What You Need to Know for Presidents Day

Schools will be open, but a number of government offices will be closed for the holiday on Monday.

Presidents Day—the federal holiday officially known as Washington's Birthday—is coming up Monday, causing a number of changes in government services.

Three-Day Weekend Weather

  • Saturday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 57º. Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, low around 41º.
  • Sunday: 30 percent chance of showers before 10 a.m., partly sunny. High near 56º. Night: Partly cloudy, low around 4oº.
  • Presidents Day (Monday): Mostly sunny, high near 59º. Night: Partly cloudy, low around 38º.

  • Rancho Bernardo public schools will be open on Monday after being closed for a week prior to the holiday.
  • The Rancho Bernardo Library is normally closed Monday and will remain so for the holiday.
  • The Rancho Bernardo Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol will keep an eye on your house while you're out of town. Stop by their storefront on the second floor of the RB Library, 17110 Bernardo Center Dr., to fill out the vacation check request form.
  • Emergency service is not affected by the holiday. Call 911 if you have an emergency.
