Woman Arrested in Double Bank Robbery
The 31-year-old woman is accused of robbing a US Bank on Peñasquitos Drive on July 19.

A woman accused of using a "GIVE ME THE MONEY OR DIE" demand note in a bank robbery has been arrested, officials announced Wednesday.
Jaquett Ebony Darby, 31, was arrested Tuesday in connection with robberies at a Rancho Peñasquitos bank on July 19, and another robbery on University Avenue on July 9, according to a statement from the FBI.
Last week, of an unidentified woman suspected of robbing the banks wearing a large hat and green dress. Darby was identified after multiple people recognized her, according to the statement.

A complaint charging Darby with two counts of robbery was filed in U.S. District Court, Southern District, of California on Monday. Darby was taken into custody on a federal arrest warrant around 2 p.m. Tuesday near the 3800 block of Teak Street. She is being held at the San Diego County Sheriff's Vista Detention Center and is expected to have her first court appearance on or about Thursday.

- Tuesday, July 19, US Bank, 14340 Peñasquitos Dr.: Around 10 a.m., a woman wearing a green sundress and sunglasses allegedly robbed the bank using a demand note which read, "Money Now or Die!" She was described as 5 feet, 7 or 8 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds. The woman was given money and left the bank.
- Saturday, July 9, US Bank, 3201 University Ave.: The bank allegedly was robbed by a woman wearing a tan wide brim summer hat, green dress, sunglasses, described as 5 feet, 11 inches and between 200 and 240 pounds. The woman is said to have used a demand note which said, paraphrased, "GIVE ME MONEY OR DIE." The teller gave the woman money and she left.
