1 Arrested For Threatening Neighbor With Gun In Rancho Santa Margarita

Orange County sheriff's deputies were called to the scene near Arroyo Vista and Las Mesitas early Tuesday morning.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — One man was arrested in Rancho Santa Margarita after he threatened his neighbor with a handgun, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.

The incident was reported early Tuesday morning at around 12:30 a.m., when deputies were sent to the area of Arroyo Vista and Las Mesitas regarding a neighborhood dispute where one person apparently brandished a handgun and threatened his neighbor with it.

The suspect was later taken into custody without incident, authorities said. After the man was arrested, sheriff's deputies searched his home and found a handgun, a high-capacity magazine, over $1,600 in U.S. currency, several boxes holding marijuana and packaging that is consistent with drug sales.
