Blood Needed In RSM: Red Cross Blood Drives Near You

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — While the end of summer can shake up normal routines with the return of school, the American Red Cross's need for blood and platelet donors remains the same.

This August, residents who donate blood through August 31 will receive a $10 e-gift card to a movie merchant of their choice.

The American Red Cross has an urgent need for type O negative, type O positive, type B negative and type A negative blood donors, as well as platelet donors, according to the organization.

In and around Rancho Santa Margarita, residents can schedule to make an appointment to donate blood here.

• Aug. 18: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Rancho Santa Margarita Library, 30902 La Promesa.
• Aug. 21: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Starbucks, 27698 Santa Margarita Pkwy.
• Aug. 25: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Starbucks, 30465 Avenida De Las Flores
