Realtor & Wife Shot in Orange County Home

A man and woman were shot to death in an Orange County home. A real estate power couple were discovered in an Orange backyard.

ORANGE, CA — A husband and wife, both real estate agents, were found shot to death in the backyard of a friend's home, neighbors told reporters on Wednesday evening. The unidentified friends and homeowners, who both inside at the time of the shooting, called 911 after the shooting, according to reports. A firearm was found near the bodies, police say, in what is an apparent murder-suicide.

Orange Police have stated that they believe Scott Lidgard, 55, may have shot Kelly Lidgard, his wife, before shooting himself, NBC4 reported.

"It was a horrible, violent crime," neighbor John Cantu told NBC4 reporters from the scene.

On Wednesday, midday, the bodies of a man and woman-- were found inside a city of Orange home, police said. Police responded to the scene and confirmed the gruesome discovery.

The deceased pair were found inside a home on the 2600 block of East Denise Avenue, according to Sgt. Phil McMullin of the Orange Police Department.
