Boy, 7, Dies In Fatal Toll Road Crash
The Fontana boy was riding in a vehicle with his family when the crash occurred on a remote section of road near Windy Ridge.

ANAHEIM, CA — A collision on a remote section of Orange County toll road claimed the life of a 7-year-old boy Sunday afternoon, according to officials.
The crash between a car and a van occurred on the Eastern Transportation Corridor (241) toll road near Windy Ridge Road, the California Highway Patrol said Sunday.
"Five people were injured, one fatally," Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Jon Muir told Patch.

The boy, later identified as Vershad Raggins of Fontana, was airlifted and flown to Orange County Global Medical Center in critical condition.
Raggins was pronounced dead at the hospital, the Coroner's office said.

A SigAlert was declared by the CHP, for the follow-up investigation, and lasted almost four hours.
