Brush Fire Breaks Out, Stalls Traffic In Santiago Canyon: CHP

The brush fire was reported at 1:19 p.m. Wednesday in Santiago Canyon and prompted authorities to close lanes on the nearby toll road.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A brush fire in Santiago Canyon stalled traffic on the nearby State route 241 Wednesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The fire was reported at 1:19 p.m. near Santiago Canyon Road and prompted officers to shut down three traffic lanes on the southbound side of the freeway.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
