Blaze Breaks Out In South Orange County; Firefighters Respond

The fire was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m. Friday by the Orange County Fire Authority.

TRABUCO CANYON, CA — Orange County firefighters doused a 1.5-acre brush fire in Trabuco Canyon Friday.

The fire was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m. Friday afternoon in the 32200 block of Trabuco Creek Road.

Due to aggressive firefighting, crews were able to get a handle on the blaze and keep to the 1.5-acres, authorities said.

"OCFA fire investigators were on scene and determined the fire was due to a remote-controlled aircraft that unintentionally crashed in the vegetation," the OCFA said in a statement.

No injuries were reported.
