Bullfrogs Looking for Players for Season Opener

The Major League Roller Hockey team is conducting tryouts Sunday at noon. An amateur could find himself in the pros.

So you think you can play? If you're any good at roller hockey, your chance has arrived. The Anaheim Bullfrogs of Major League Roller Hockey will hold tryouts from noon-2 p.m. Sunday at the 949 Roller Hockey Center of Irvine.

Four players and a goaltender from the tryout will be selected to play for the Bullfrogs in their opener Oct. 8.

The fee is $100 and includes Major League Roller Hockey Players Association insurance and a Bullfrogs practice jersey. Players can register by visiting the team's Anaheim Bullfrogs website, and clicking the camp registration link.

The Bullfrogs were one of the most successful roller hockey teams of the 1990s, last playing in Roller Hockey International in 1999. This marks the return of the team.

Representatives of several other Major League Roller Hockey teams will be present, giving players multiple opportunities to become part of a team.
