Burglars Steal Gun Trove and Police Tactical Vest
Someone broke into two Laguna Niguel homes Thursday stealing weapons from one house and a law-enforcement tactical vest from another.

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for a burglar who broke into and ransacked two Laguna Niguel homes Thursday afternoon, stealing a trove of guns and a law-enforcement tactical vest.
The burglaries happened on Mar Vista sometime between noon and 12:30, said Orange County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Mark Stichter.
“It appears to be forced entry on both residences. Both residences were ransacked on the inside,” Stichter added. “One of the residences had five weapons taken from the house.”

In addition to the five guns, the robber or robbers took a law enforcement tactical vest from the other home, said Stichter.
“The investigators are still trying to determine the extent of the loss,” he added.

Authorities don’t yet have suspect information.
“The daytime residential burglaries occur in every city,” said Stichter. “We always remind people if they see something say something. If it’s a vehicle that doesn’t fit the neighborhood, call.”
