RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Sometimes, you just have to stop and smell the butterflies? Rancho Santa Margarita resident Angela Madsen had her camera at the ready during an afternoon walk. She's ready to showcase beauty where she finds it, and these days that is pretty close to home.

Recently, she saw a bright yellow Swallowtail butterfly (we're guessing as we aren't butterfly specialists) landed on the papery purple flowers of a local sea lavender.

"I wanted to show that life and growth are still happening in nature, and we will get past this!" she told us.
