Car Fire Closes Two Lanes On 241 Freeway
Two lanes on the toll road were closed for about an hour, California Highway Patrol said.
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — A car fire on State Route 241 near Windy Ridge road that happened earlier this morning has closed two lanes on the toll road for up to an hour, said California Highway Patrol.
The car fire broke out near the State Route 91 westbound connector around 8 a.m. The fire did not spread to the surrounding brush, and the reporting party was not injured, according to CHP.
Commuters were encouraged to avoid this area as emergency officials went to work. Traffic remained heavy but was moving as of 9:15 a.m.
