After the holidays, when the City Council reconvenes, Tony Beall will serve as Mayor and Anne Figueroa as Mayor Pro Tempore for 2021. City Council members made the 1-year appointments during their annual reorganization on Wednesday.

The City Council has selected Tony Beall as its mayor and Anne Figueroa as its mayor pro tem for 2021.
Each December, the council selects a new mayor and mayor pro tem from among its five members. Beall has served on the council since 2004 and was mayor in 2007, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2016.

Anne Figueroa was elected to the Rancho Santa Margarita City Council in November 2018. She served as a Rancho Santa Margarita Planning Commissioner for three years and served as Planning Commissioner Chair.
The City Council will reconvene on January 13, 2021.
