Dryer Fire Response Wakes Rancho Santa Margarita Neighborhood

A late night dryer fire woke a residential neighborhood in Rancho Santa Margarita.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA —Engines rushed to the scene of a late night house fire in Rancho Santa Margarita, Monday evening. Orange County Fire Authority engines arrived at the Calle Albarda fire, where a dryer was discovered in flames at approximately 10 p.m., OCFA Capt. Steve Concialdi said.

The dryer was quickly extinguished and moved outside, according to Concialdi. Approximately 17 OCFA firefighters responded to the home, which sustained some damage.

Only one person was injured, an adult female inside the home who endured a minor burn injury. As of this report it is not known the total damages from this fire.
