Eagles Play For National Title to Honor 'Coach Elvis'
Santa Margarita Catholic's ice hockey club, playing in memory of its slain strength and conditioning coach, has a big week ahead of it.
The memory of Elvis Kechechian, the strength and conditioning coach of the Santa Margarita Catholic ice hockey club, still burns bright in the hearts of players.
This week, the team will be playing for a national title in Kearns, UT, at the USA Hockey National Tournament which runs Wednesday through Sunday.
The squad plays with a patch on its uniform , who was killed along with a friend, Hossain Saidian, in an altercation outside an all night Lake Forest eatery. Kechechian, buried in his Santa Margarita coaching gear, was a resident of Mission Viejo.
