Edible Poop Emoji Doughnuts And More At Rancho Santa Margarita's Doughnut Parlor

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Doughnut Parlor owner Adam Vaun is more than happy-faced to be welcomed to Rancho Santa Margarita, though his current emoji of choice is...well...poop.

The Poop Emoji doughnut is a whimsical sweet treat that has taken Orange County by storm, thanks to a recent report by the OC Register. Seen both at Doughnut Parlor and at DK's Donuts in Orange (also owned by Vaun), this donut is a chocolate cake doughnut, slathered with chocolate icing and mounded with swirled chocolate buttercream frosting "to act as poop," Vaun stated. "Those eyeballs are edible too as they're made of candy."

Vaun also owns DK's Donuts in Orange, started by his parents 32 years ago, and the Poop Emoji donuts were first sold there.

DK's Donuts of Orange has a loyal Facebook fan-following, and many who have seen the poop emoji donuts pop up in Rancho Santa Margarita have referred to their DK Donut versions as comparison, saying they've been around for awhile.

"The Poop Emoji doughnut is our most popular doughnut," Vaun said.

Other popular doughnuts of the Rancho Santa Margarita store include the Fruity Pebble doughnut which pairs deliciously with the Doughnut Parlor's signature hot chocolate.

Vaun's take on the doughnut business is appealing largely to millennials, by creating whimsical and delicious sweet gourmet treats that look great on social media.

His loyal followers were more than enthusiastic about lining up on the store's opening day at 6 a.m. on January 6.
