Several Rancho Santa Margarita area preschools will join together on April 21, 9 a.m. to noon, to present A Day in the Park. This event, sponsored by Mission Hills Christian School, is aimed at providing a fun, hands-on learning experience for young families complete with sensory tables, magnet play, crafts, face painting and bubbles. In addition, parents will have the opportunity to learn more about some of the wonderful preschools in our area.
A Day in the Park is held in conjunction with The Week of the Young Child™, an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The purpose of the Week of the Young Child™ is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. The theme this year is Early Years Are Learning Years®.
