Flooding Closes Black Star Canyon Trail In Silverado Through Friday

Orange County Public Works representatives said the closure was due to dangerous flood water conditions and swift water rescue concerns.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Heavy rains, flooding and storm weather prompted Orange County officials to close Black Star Canyon Trail in Silverado, Orange County Public Works announced Monday.

The closure will remain in place until Friday, Jan. 20, public works officials said. The closure was issued by OC Public Works in conjunction with the Orange County Fire Authority and Orange County Parks.

Electronic signage will be placed near the entrance gate of the trail to notify residents of the closure, officials said.
