Garage Fire Knocked Down In Ladera Ranch Tuesday
The fire was reported at 1 a.m. after residents living inside of the home woke up to sounds from their garage.

LADERA RANCH, CA — Orange County firefighters made quick work of a garage fire burning in Ladera Ranch early Tuesday morning, authorities reported.
The fire was called in just before 1 a.m., after a family living at a two-story home on Patina Lane in Ladera Ranch woke to sounds from their garage, the Orange County Fire Authority reported on Twitter.

A member of the family opened the door from the house into the garage, saw smoke, closed the door and evacuated safely.

According to officials, the act of closing the garage door limited the fire from spreading and allowed firefighters to quickly douse the flames.
"Good job by the residents for closing the door," the OCFA wrote. "We encourage residents to quickly close doors behind them as they evacuate if it can be done safely."

No injuries were reported, and there was no immediate report on damages caused by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
