Gas Prices Continue To Climb In Rancho Santa Margarita

RSM residents are still paying more for gas than ever before. Here's where to find the cheapest gas in Rancho Santa Margarita.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Orange County rose for the 14th time in 15 days, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $5.842.

It has risen 13.1 cents over the past 15 days, including two-tenths of a cent Wednesday.

The Orange County average price is 5.8 cents more than one week ago, 3.9 cents higher than one month ago and $1.724 higher than one year ago. It is 17.7 cents lower than the record high of $6.029 set March 29.

As of Thursday afternoon, the cheapest gas in Rancho Santa Margarita fell to $5.65 per gallon, cash price, at the Arco station on Santa Margarita Parkway.

The national average price rose 1.4 cents Thursday to a record $4.418, erasing the previous record set Wednesday.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Thursday for the 15th consecutive day, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $5.897, one day after rising one-tenth of a cent.

The average price has risen 12.3 cents over the past 15 days following a run of 28 decreases in 30 days totaling 29.6 cents, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 5.7 cents more than one week ago, 4.8 cents higher than one month ago and $1.737 greater than one year ago. It is 17.3 cents less than the record high of $6.07 set March 28.
