LAKE FOREST, CA – Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, known as an "extreme value" supermarket, next week will open a Lake Forest store with a community event featuring savings, games and prizes.

The new locale, with some 30 new hires, will be at 22475 El Toro Road with a Thursday, Dec. 7 ribbon-cutting ceremony officiated by the Lake Forest Chamber of Commerce.

A $1,000 donation of Grocery Outlet Gift Cards will be presented to Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, and $1,000 will be gifted to the El Toro High School ASB Canned Food Drive, said officials of the Emeryville-based bargain-priced retailer. After the ribbon-cutting, lunch will be provided by Taste Catering Café from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a $10 minimum purchase, while supplies last.
