How Much Rain Did Rancho Santa Margarita Get During This Week's Storm?

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — After heavy rains and storm conditions wreaked havoc across Orange County roadways and neighborhoods Wednesday, the clouds have finally begun to part — for now.

Across the county, most Orange County cities saw over two inches of rain, the Orange County Public Works Department reported. South Orange County communities saw the most rain, with Coto de Caza gathering 3.82 inches of rain and Holy Jim Canyon gathering 3.11 inches of rain.

Here's a look at rainfall counts across Orange County, including in Rancho Santa Margarita:

• Rancho Santa Margarita reported 3.82 inches of rain in Coto de Caza, and 3.11 inches of rain in Holy Jim Canyon.
• Laguna Beach reported 2.52 inches of rain at the Laguna Coastal Watershed.
• Mission Viejo also reported 2.52 inches of rain at the Aliso Creek Watershed.
• Newport Beach reported 2.36 inches of rain at the Newport Bay Watershed.
• Lake Forest reported between 1.5 inches and 2 inches of rain between the Bee Canyon Watershed and the Sand Canyon Watershed, respectively.
• Laguna Niguel reported 2 inches of rain at the San Juan Creek Watershed, and 3.11 inches of rain at the Lower Oso Creek Watershed.
• Dana Point reported 2.75 inches of rain at the Dana Point Ocean Institute.
