Magical Day at the 2/5 Country Christmas Party

Team 2/5 RSM was honored to participate in the 2/5 Country Christmas Party on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Rancho Las Flores on Camp Pendleton.

It was a special day, filled with joy, warm hearts, big smiles and holiday magic.  We had activities for the children, including cookie decorating, coloring, a bean bag toss and craft tables for reindeer hats, snowman ornaments and candy cane reindeers.  Pony rides and a petting zoo.  Terrific food service from Buckboard Catering, and a dessert contest.  Pictures with Santa. Holiday music.

We have many people to thank, starting with Jaime Farrell, the 2/5’s Family Readiness Officer.  Thank you to Cindy Farnum and the wonderful group of volunteers from Operation Help A Hero.  Thank you to GenerationOn Joy Ambassadors Carter Jenkins and Max Ruhnke, and to Hasbro Toys.  Thank you to Wendi Redington and the Community Service Department of the City of Rancho Santa Margarita.  Special thanks to Ricky Farrell and the Marines of the 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, who delivered Santa and his elves in an LAV.
