Mission Hospital Golf Classic raises nearly $320,000 at Pelican Hill Golf Club

Since the tournament began 25 years ago, more than $4.8 million has been raised to support new technology and patient care enhancements.

The sold-out Mission Hospital Golf Classic continued its rich philanthropic tradition by netting nearly $320,000. This successful event, held at Pelican Hill Golf Club, would not have been possible without the leadership of Golf Chairs Lynn Maioriello and Joey Maioriello and the generosity of Tournament Sponsor Audi Mission Viejo • INFINITI of Mission Viejo • Volvo Cars Mission Viejo and Presenting Sponsor Ira Hermann of Capstone Partners Financial.

The golf tournament proceeds will enhance Mission Hospital’s ability to provide world-class health care and meet the unique needs of individuals throughout our south Orange County community.

First place on the men’s north course was claimed by the Shulman Hodges Bastian team of Jim Bastian, Ron Hodges, Lee Penrose and Ali Salamirad. On the south course, the first place finish among the men was Mark Chimenti, Chris Gordon, Scott McEwan and Kolin Ozonian of RJ Allen. The women’s first place victory was captured by Faith Butler, Pam Cummings, Gail Dunlop and Cassie Speace.

One of the annual highlights of the event is the raffle drawing of a new Audi, INFINITI or Volvo, complements of Audi Mission Viejo • INFINITI of Mission Viejo • Volvo Cars Mission Viejo. Karen Easter, a longtime Mission Hospital employee, was the lucky winner. Seven must be Karen’s lucky number, because this is the seventh year Karen has purchased a raffle ticket.

Our Platinum Sponsors included B&B Plumbing, Inc., Diversified Thermal Services, Inc., Healthcare Design & Construction, LLC, Meyer & Reeder, Inc., N & BP Trust, Prestige Office Coffee Service, Robert and Carol Summers Family Trust, WP Electric & Communications, Inc.
