Rancho Santa Margarita residents were urged to take part in the meeting to learn about current crime trends in their neighborhood.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA β€” Are you looking to learn more about current crime trends in your community? The Orange County Sheriff's Department is hosting a Neighborhood Watch Meeting on Friday, June 7 for Avila Apartments residents.

At the meeting, residents will learn about crime trends that Orange County Sheriff's Deputies are seeing in several Rancho Santa Margarita neighborhoods.

Residents can also ask their own questions and get to know local deputies in their area, as well as meet K-9 Zorro.

Participating residents will receive goodie bags, authorities said.

The Neighborhood Crime Watch meeting takes place at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7.
