New Greek Eatery Opens In South OC: What To Know

LADERA RANCH, CA — A new eatery is opening its doors in South Orange County, after The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill announced the debut of its new location in Ladera Ranch set for Monday, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday.

The new eatery, opening at 27522 Antonio Parkway in Mercantile East Plaza, will feature a menu of classic Mediterranean dishes served in an elevated fast-casual atmosphere.

"We're looking forward to sharing the restaurant's delicious and satisfying selections with guests in the Ladera Ranch-area," Co-owner Ravi Potlachervu told Patch. "We're eager to collaborate with our team, build relationships with customers and create memorable experiences that leave a lasting impression."

Potlachervu and his wife, Ramya Ratakonda, own the 2,000-square-foot restaurant and seek to use their extensive business backgrounds to make a positive impact in the community.

The pair are natives of India and were attracted to the franchise model of The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill as well as its fresh ingredients and fast-casual format.

"We knew the brand was an ideal choice for us to become franchise owners because of a combination of its authentic cuisine, strong brand recognition and proven business model," Ratakonda said. "This represents a fresh beginning, filled with potential for growth and success."

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in Ladera Ranch opens Monday, Aug. 5.
