RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — The Rancho Santa Margarita food pantry is a staple service in the community that provides free groceries roughly 200 families in need twice a month.

ESi, an Orange County-based company, is helping the food pantry help the community by hosting a canned food and toiletries drive through May 25, ESi spokesperson Bart Ortberg told Patch.

While all canned good donations are appreciated, the pantry is especially in need of canned fruit (no vegetables), pasta sauce (no noodles) and toiletries including toothpaste, soap, deodorant, razor blades, shaving cream, toilet paper, etc.

Residents can leave their donations at a drop-off box located at 5 Allyssum in Rancho Santa Margarita, across from Trabuco Mesa Elementary and Trabuco Mesa Park.

Ortberg said that his company is also donating $1 dollar for every item donated to Feeding America, meaning donations will do double the work by helping a local nonprofit and raising money for a national food campaign.
