OC Firefighters Douse Vegetation Fire In Rancho Santa Margarita

Orange County Fire Authority crews worked quickly Monday to douse a small vegetation fire in Rancho Santa Margarita.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Orange County firefighters tackled and extinguished a small brush fire in Rancho Santa Margarita Monday, thanks to the efforts of the vigilant residents who reported the fire when it ignited, an OC Fire Authority spokesperson said Monday.

The fire was reported a little after 5 p.m. Monday near Antonio Parkway and Tijeras Creek, authorities said.

"Quick work by initial engine crews and our handcrew firefighters. Thank you to @OCParks, @OCSDRanchoSM and the 911 callers who reported the fire. Great job looking out for your community," An OCFA spokesperson said.
