<p>RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Rancho Santa Margarita residents were invited to a public bench dedication ceremony celebrating the life of Master Planner and community fixture Richard Reese. </p><p>"From his drafting board in the '80s to his public passing last August, Mr. Reese was a keystone in designing Rancho Santa Margarita," Laura Lopez, assistant city manager in Rancho Santa Margarita, told Patch. "The vibrant parks, winding trails and glimmering Lago Santa Margarita bear the fingerprints of his urban design skill, but Mr. Reese's kindness, optimism and humor brightened the lives of all he met."</p><p>The dedication ceremony takes place Saturday, Nov. 16 at 9:30 a.m. at Canary Pine Grove, near Lago Santa Margarita. </p>
