Rancho Santa Margarita Hosts E-Waste & Shredding Event Saturday

The event is open to anyone looking for an environmentally friendly way to dispose of outdated or non-functioning electronics.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Rancho Santa Margarita will host a free electronic waste and document shredding event from 8 to noon on Saturday at the City Hall parking lot.

The event is open to anyone looking for an environmentally friendly way to dispose of outdated or non-functioning electronics, including:

  • Monitors
  • Televisions
  • Phones
  • Mouse/keyboards
  • LCD monitors
  • Cables and cords
  • Computers
  • Printers
  • Hard drives
  • Shredders
  • Cell phones
  • Power suppliers
  • Laptops
  • Servers
  • DVD players/VCRs
  • Copiers/fax machines
  • Toner cartridges

Kitchen appliances, batteries, smoke detectors and fluorescent tubes are not accepted.

Document shredding is also available. Residents are asked to bring papers in a maximum of standard file boxes no larger than 10” x 12” x 15”. No three ring binders, staples, or paper clps are accepted.
