Rancho Santa Margarita Walmart Robbed, Suspect At Large

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA β€” Orange County Sheriff deputies are currently searching for a man wanted in connection with robbing a Walmart in Rancho Santa Margarita, authorities reported on Twitter Monday.

The robbery occurred at 3 p.m. Monday at a Walmart Neighborhood Center in the 3000 block of Avenida de las Flores, OCSD spokesperson Sgt. Todd Hylton told Patch. The suspect reportedly handed an employee a note and left the scene with cash in hand before authorities arrived.

No one was injured in the robbery, and no weapon was seen, authorities said.

The suspect is described as a Black man believed to be about 40 years of age. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black jacket, jeans, black cap and blue surgical gloves.

Residents with information about the suspect are asked to contact the OCSD's dispatch line at 949-770-6011.
